Mandie Landry is a longtime litigator and newly-elected Louisiana State Representative, serving House District 91 in New Orleans. She focuses her professional, personal, and political energy on advocating for women, children, students, reproductive rights, civil rights and liberties, housing, voting, and criminal justice reform.

For over 15 years, Mandie has represented individuals, businesses, and non-profit organizations in commercial disputes and professional liability matters, with an emphasis on internal investigations. Additionally, Mandie’s experience includes representing health care clients and one of the state’s remaining abortion clinics. Her practice also extends to state and federal criminal defense, including white collar matters and allegations involving sexual assault.

Mandie was elected to the Louisiana House of Representatives in 2019. She serves on the Civil Law, Judiciary, and Natural Resources Committees. During her first year, she introduced legislation on voting by mail, criminal justice reform, worker misclassification, and eviction protections. During the 2020 regular Legislative Session, Governor John Bel Edwards signed HB 344, which was filed and passed by Rep. Landry. This was Mandie’s first bill signed into law, and it prohibits solitary confinement for people who are pregnant or have just given birth. This was the first change to Louisiana’s solitary confinement law in more than a century.
